I have a couple of classes that have some shared properties and I need to map them. I am using Fluent NHibernate.
I have an abstract class for example:
public abstract class BaseClass
{
public virtual int Id { get; protected set; }
public virtual string Name { get; set; }
}
And a couple of derived classes that extend it, say:
public class Car : BaseClass
{
// some properties
}
public class Motorcycle : BaseClass
{
// some properties
}
Then I create a second class that has a mapping like this:
public class BaseMap : ClassMap
{
public BaseMap()
{
Id(x => x.Id);
Map(x => x.Name);
}
}
public class CarMap : SubclassMap
{
public CarMap()
{
References(x => x.BaseClass).Nullable();
}
}
public class MotorcycleMap : SubclassMap
