Bleach is a light-hearted, supernatural, and epic J-drama with an excellent cast. The storyline of Bleach is fairly simple: Ichigo Kurosaki is an orange haired high school student who can see spirits and dead people. One summer day a female soul pops up next to him on the sidewalk and he has to fight a hollow that wants to eat her spirit energy. Turns out that Ichigo had some reiatsu or spirit power inside him all along that he didn't know about. In the process of saving the girl's life, Ichigo's whole family gets mixed up with some fairly bad dudes from Soul Society who want them dead as well as the aforementioned hollows. Ichigo Kurosaki, a normal high school guy who starts out as a running joke to the viewers, but soon becomes the lead character. Ichigo has a dual personality: one is his caring and kind personality that is exactly what one would expect from a human being who has been surprised by discovering he/she has reiatsu inside them. The other personality is more silent and serious. This personality is the hollow inside Ichigo's soul, which gets cleansed at the end of every arc to make room for his kinder personality. Uryu Ishida, a first year student at Karakura High School and Ichigo's best friend. His family is also mixed up with Soul Society's bad guys, which causes him to act more like the head of the family than his actual father. He has normal orange hair and wears a pink sweater/long-sleeve sweater every time he is shown. Uryu has incredible spiritual power (just like Ichigo) and is also an expert at spiritual powers, therefore he acts as the navigator of the group. Rukia Kuchiki, the youngest child of the original Soul Society heroes. She is not so invincible as her older siblings are though, since she has low spiritual energy levels compared to Ichigo. She is also not allowed to kill anyone while on earth, which makes her more like a mediator than anything. Rukia is sent to earth by Soul Society to get rid of hollows since they are getting out of control. Renji Abarai, the second in command in Soul Society. Renji, together with his partner Rukia, travels to the world of the living to do the same thing she does: get rid of hollows. If he sees any hollows that are giving trouble to them, Renji will jump in and help Rukia finish them off before she can get hurt. Renji has a thing for Rukia, but she doesn't really notice it. She only notices when he is willing to risk his life to save hers. Byakuya Kuchiki, one of the captains in Soul Society. He is the brother of Rukia and Hisana Kuchiki. Although he usually looks like he is sleeping, Byakuya can actually hear everything that goes on around him no matter how small the sound is. His Zanpakutō's release command is "Shoot" or "Fire" (発火, Hassatsu). He uses his left hand when releasing his Zanpakutō in its sword form. cfa1e77820
