I'm not a huge fan of sample libraries with add-ons, but when I got my hands on this project from Tone2 called ElectraX VSTi 1.0, I was intrigued by how different it was from your standard ˜sample library ˜. It's been in the works since September 2016 and with a release date of 17th December 2016, this means you shouldn't have to wait too long to get your hands on this for yourself! While the .zip is significant in size at almost 390 MB, I was surprised at how easy it is to load up and how quick it is to find what you're looking for. The interface is pretty simple and with a total of 12 VSTi's included, I was worried that there would be too much going on. What also impressed me was that you can load an additional 3 samples into any VSTi you have installed. This means that the Electra X VSTi is for more than just Electra, but has an option to integrate any other plugins you might have. When it comes to Electra, the Electra X VSTi adds two new static synth voices to give Acid 1.0+ users the ability to make use of the synth's presets for something other than acid! On top of this, it includes an extra version of Electra which allows Acid 2. 0 users to make use of the presets which were previously only available to acid 1.0+ owners. The previous version of Electra also adds two additional static synth voices, but this time they're modelled after the 'Xenon' and 'Arc' synthesisers which you can find within Reason 5.5+ and provide for quite an interesting sound. One of the great things about the included .dll files is that they come in at around 1. 4 MB, so there's no need to download anything other than the .zip file itself. Samples are key to letting you create your own sounds. These aren't something you can make up on the spot, but instead they give you the raw materials which you can use to make something new. With 12 different samples included in Electra X VSTi 1.0, it won't take too long to find the one that's perfect for your next track! This is made even more interesting by the fact that it also includes versions of Electra which include these samples, giving acid 2. 0+ users the ability to use these for themselves without having to download anything else! With around 5 GB of samples, this makes Electra X VSTi 1.0 one of the biggest sample libraries I've had the pleasure of using. The included .dll files are pretty powerful in themselves, but they also include some great sounding presets which you can use without having to worry about any extra downloads. One thing I was surprised at was the fact that there were around 25+ Acid 2.0 presets included within the .dll file, just for one instrument! Having access to some really great presets gives you even more options for making your own sounds and although some of them are more focused on acid 2. cfa1e77820
